About Us

Bill Horton, the owner of Horton Insurance, is a veteran of over 25 years in the insurance industry.  He has a B.S. degree from Bucknell University .  His first five years in the insurance industry were spent at an insurance company, learning how the insurance industry really works and developing contacts that help him to this day accomplish things with companies that others can’t.  The last twenty years were spent as a manager and agent at two large insurance agencies, gathering plenty of hands on experience.  Bill also taught insurance courses at University of Connecticut during this time.  When his last employer merged with a national brokerage, he decided it was time to start his own agency and continue serving the public by selling and explaining quality insurance coverage without tricks or gimmicks.

Beth Tomassetti is also a veteran of the insurance industry, all of her experience on the agency side.  She started with Nationwide insurance.  She formerly worked with Ryan Associates in Wallingford and Stone Agency in Meriden .
